A lively welcome to our new team member, Robert Tomšů! We’re thrilled to have his expertise and energy join our office. With a background rich in Sales, Robert is poised to elevate our OptimiDoc sales activities and partner relationships. Robert will be responsible for the Czech, Slovak, Benelux and French markets and we are bringing a short interview with him to you.
Robert, welcome to the team and I’ll ask the first question right away. Why did you choose the company OptimiDoc and what attracted you at first glance?
Thank you for the welcome and acceptance into the “OptimiDoc” family. I was looking for a change in my professional life and decided to try something new. I had considered a position in an IT company before, so when this opportunity arose, I decided to take it. I was mainly impressed by the friendly atmosphere, the human approach and the opportunity to participate in the 10th anniversary celebrations, even though I was not yet an official member of the team.
You will be in charge of the Czech and Slovak markets, which are quite essential for OptimiDoc. What previous business experience do you have?
Yes, I am aware of the importance of this position. I have gained experience in B2B business, which I will undoubtedly draw on. I worked as an export manager for Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic countries. I focused mainly on the acquisition of new partners, training, presentations and the subsequent acquisition and processing of orders. Based on these experiences, I believe that I will be an asset to OptimiDoc.
As a person coming from another field, what would you evaluate as the biggest benefit of the OptimiPrint, OptimiCapture and OptimiServer products?
At the same time the simplicity and the complexity of the entire solution. I was particularly interested in the cloud solution, in which I see a great future, especially for small and medium-sized companies that do not have their IT department or do not want to spend money on hardware and overall server maintenance.
What have you set as the nearest professional goal that you would like to achieve?
Collect experience with the business and continue to improve. I would like to build a high-quality portfolio of OptimiDoc customers in entrusted countries.
Shall I ask about your free time and hobbies? how do you relax?
I enjoy calisthenics and martial arts. So when I’m not sweating somewhere in training, I’m most likely listening to music.
