In addition to printers, it also offers finishing machines, cutters, binders, shredders and other office supplies. The company was founded in Liberec, where its headquarters are, but takes care of customers all over the Czech Republic. 

LIVOX GmbH also operates a well-equipped copy centre in Liberec with a professional approach and the possibility to create graphics according to the customer’s requirements. According to the independent review of its services the customers are highly satisfied.

INTERVIEW WITH A PARTNER

What is your main business area? Please briefly introduce your company 

For more than thirty years, Livox has been a partner of the manufacturer of multifunctional devices Xerox, and is therefore associated not only with the hardware, but today also with the software. Among other things, Livox offers the rental, maintenance and sales of multifunctional devices. The company is based in Liberec, but often takes care of customers in Prague and is capable of successfully closing any business case, provided there are sufficient capacities and resources. 

When and how did you start working with the OptimiDoc team? 

We came across OptimiDoc thanks to Xerox, for whom we are a regional representative. At this point, OptimiDoc has evolved and offers its products for all brands, and is, as we say, multi-brand. However, this was not the case in the past. Since we have been working together from the very beginning, for eleven years now, we are able to say that OptimiDoc used to offer printing and scanning solutions for Xerox multifunctional devices only. 

Why did you decide to become a close partner of OptimiDoc? 

The software suits us, both in terms of functionality, setting and installation at the customer’s site. Everything is easy, fast and efficient. For me, it is software that makes sense. So, in my opinion it is really excellent. 

How satisfied are you with OptimiDoc in general? 

I, personally, can say that very much. I believe the quality of our relationship is excellent —undoubtedly influenced by the fact that we’ve known each other and worked together for many years. We can rely on each other and we know exactly what to expect. In my opinion, the cooperation is absolutely smooth and works very well. 

Which part of the OptimiDoc team do you consider the most beneficial? (R&D, Sales, Technical Support, Back office) 

I have known the CEO Bronislav Šopík for many years, and we have built a relationship founded on mutual trust and a willingness to support each other. But it is not just about the relationship with him. I cannot complain about any piece of your company puzzle. When I have a problem, your support team responds quickly. When I have a problem with the deployment of a product, I always have someone from the OptimiDoc team at hand, or someone from our company who previously handled affiliate sales of your product. If the whole system didn’t work seamlessly, it wouldn’t make sense for me to use it. 

How do you evaluate OptimiDoc products? 

The products are really easy to deploy. Before you introduced the Cloud solution, we were focused solely on the server. We have a lot of experience with the server and now also with the cloud. Above all, the main advantage 

is the simplicity and functionality. It simply works. For me, as a person who installs and maintains it at the customer’s site, it is easy. And that is why we love it. 

What is the specific feature of the Czech market in terms of the transition from server to Cloud? Is the Czech market open to it? 

The Czech market is a bit specific in this regard, as people still focus heavily on price tags. Cloud is, of course, financially more demanding than server. The server has the advantage that even if the customer does not pay for support, it still works in the old version without updating. It is complicated sometimes. Recently, the deployment of MS Office 365 has been really helpful, as people are moving to cloud with software, OneDrive and SharePoint, so then it makes a lot of sense for them. 

What is your business strategy now? Do you primarily offer customers cloud solutions or also on-premise solutions? 

We offer both platforms. Due to the fact that we started with a server years ago, 90% of our clients are renewing licenses and running on hardware. We test new customers on both platforms and offer solutions according to their needs. If the company uses the MS Office 365 platform, then it is easier to offer cloud solution. 

Can you describe some interesting business case you have implemented together with OptimiDoc? 

Any business is interesting for us and we have customers across the segments and of all sizes. It comes to my mind that we installed an on-premise solution in a company in Central Bohemia, where variable symbols, invoice numbers and other data were crucial for them. We deployed OptimiDoc on six machines. It is now running smoothly and the solution extracts the required data without anyone having to intervene. It really makes sense for me and it means added value for our customer. 

We installed a cloud solution at a law firm, where getting an editable PDF format of concluded signed contracts is crucial for them. It is not only about locking up the machine and providing security, but also about giving the customer a real benefit and making their work more efficient. The customer also uses metadata and extracts key information from the contracts, which is then used further. This customer does not even use the machine locking and benefits most from the scanning part of the cloud solution. 

Generally speaking, I can say that the OptimiDoc solution is really strong when it comes to scanning. And if the customer knows how to make use of it, it brings them many benefits.
